JAKARTA – Rebellious Indonesians hacked into their ministry of information’s anti-porn website Friday, posting their own message in opposition to the government’s plan to ban online access to such materials in the nation.

“Prove that the law has not been made to cover government stupidity” read the quote written to deface the website, along with an altered picture of an anti-porn Indonesian technical expert topless (she’s a chick, obviously, otherwise it would be creepy).

The mostly-Muslim country has had heated debates over access to pornography and lewd acts, prompting the Indonesian parliament to pass a bill banning the viewing of porn.

This simply shows that as I thought, no matter where you live in the world, what language you speak, or what creed you take stock in: where there’s access to porn, and that access is threatened, people come together to fight the good fight.

Since Indonesia’s independence in 1945, the country has had it rough. Economic blows (who the hell knows what a “rupiah” is anyway?), corruption (they rank 143rd out of 180 countries, pretty impressive), and probably a few tsunamis or typhoons or whatever the hell they get over there – of course they want to see some titties!

The fact that many in this country have banded together and collectively shouted (digitally, that is), “We want to view lewd acts online, like the rest of the free world! Give us our BDSM, our horny housewives, our farm animal abuse and our naked midget wrestling!,” is refreshing to me.

I mean, they work as hard as they can to make it now. 49% of the country lives for less than $2 US per day! Why would they band together on improving their economic status? Futile. Instead, we plead you Indonesian government: let them take out their frustrations by laying back and rubbing one off.
