I ran across this ad today, and got really confused. Alright, I work for a meager living as a mediocre copywriter, and I write headlines/do crap like what’s in this ad all day (when I’m actually working).

So it made me wonder, “Why would they actually highlight how long it takes to poison a dog in this ad? Who cares? And why poison? Is dog poisoning a major issue? Seriously. WTF?”

This ad is for the World Society of the Protection of Animals, by the way. Which I’m all for. Protect the hell out of animals, go right ahead.

But at the same time, if it takes 2 hours for a dog to die from poisoning, you’re doing it all fucking wrong. I’ve got stuff under my sink that would kill a horse in 10 seconds flat.
